I really needed a pair of heels like these (well, maybe not needed but really wanted) and I was pretty chuffed when I found them. Something to let your feet breath in,a strap around the ankle for support with some buckles for good measure. More often than not, I go for heels that cover my toes, cause for some reason growing up all the girls around me told me that toes are ugly and should not be shown. This has always stuck with me. But also, the weather is never really nice enough for sandals in the first place. But I don’t agree about the toes thing, I think that when you’re younger you seem think everything is a bit icky. But have you ever seen a babies toes? Cutest damn thing ever. Either way, I am looking forward to wearing these bad boys out soon. But do they come in black? Well actually yes, they do.

Ronan finished the last of his exams (whippee!) over the weekend, and after getting all of our work done for the week it felt great to be able to relax with some sunshine! For the first time this year I was able to step outside the house (in Ireland) without a winter coat or at least 3-4 layers of clothing on – and I’m not even exaggerating! Even though we have been getting sunny days, it’s still way colder than it should be this time of year- but yesterday there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. It was gorgeous, and felt just like what May should feel like!

But I am so delighted I can finally wear the kind of clothes I want to be wearing, looking back at my outfits from around this time last year (see example) I feel like my style has matured quite a bit since then… or at least I like to think so : ) I prefer more structured and flattering pieces now, and feel generally more confident and feminine when wearing those sorts of things. Do you guys notice this too with your style too?

It feels like it’s been forever since I last updated my blog properly with an outfit post, as I mentioned in my last post we have been kept very busy with some projects that I can’t share just yet, so I hope you will forgive me for being such a bad blogger this week!

Anyway, back to the important stuff – let’s talk about this dress. I have always had a fondness for Parisian boutique brands, there’s just something about them that allure me. They seem to use the most beautiful draping, tailoring and  materials such as cashmere, soft cottons & silk to create a piece you look and feel great in. Ba&sh is a new discovery for me, and much like Sandro I can see myself lusting (and perhaps obsessing) over many of their laid-back, feminine and modern pieces to come.
I paired this dress with some black tights and white heels to finish off this monochromatic look, and I decided to wear my hair up for a little change : )

For the first time in absolutely ages I haven’t updated my blog in over 3 days! This actually makes me feel really weird, when I haven’t put anything up. It makes me feel agitated and unbalanced. Anyway, please excuse my lack of updates recently. I’ve been snowed under with work and some projects that I can’t put on the blog yet, but I simply couldn’t go another day without putting anything up at all. This is a little out-take of something we are working on, we shot these photos yesterday in Trinity College, we were so lucky with the light – I can’t wait to show you guys the full photo set cause we shot on a 5D Mark ii, and got to use a 85mm lens so it was so much fun to play around with new toys!

I wore this outfit out to dinner in Dun Laoghaire over the weekend with my dear friend Lucy. And we tried Fondue for the first time. It was an experience, and I don’t quite know if I liked it that much even though I am the biggest cheese fan. Anyway, we found some cool spots of light in the carpark and took the opportunity for some quick snaps before food and I love how they turned out! Lucy is just a genius with her camera, and is a master of capturing moody atmospheric light.
