People often ask me for advice on what they should wear for different occasions and while it’s very hard to find the time to reply to everyone individually, I thought it would be fun to do a post on one of my most requested: The Interview Outfit!
A lot of people are starting new jobs for the seasonal period, so I thought what better time than now : )
They say that it takes just three seconds for someone to form an opinion of you based on your appearance. So for a job interview, you obviously want to make the best first impression possible, especially if you are going for a job in fashion/retail. So instead of that all-black-pencil-skirt-& shirt-combo why not go for something a little different: a polo shirt under a textured blazer, a simple but flattering skater skirt and some statement jewelry. I would keep the sparkles to a minimum and opt for something a little more subtle like a watch or a bracelet. The hat may not be suitable for some interviews, so instead you could tie your hair back into a sleek high ponytail.
I hope this post is helpful to a few of you : )
I also just want to say to any readers who are from the Eastern US – I hope you are all keeping safe and I am sending you my love <3 x
